Hotel Branding, SEO and Websites That Win Direct Bookings
We help hotels, serviced apartments and hospitality groups win more bookings on their own website and depend less on the OTAs. Our Dubai team does hotel branding, hotel SEO and hotel website design, and we run SEO for Leylaty Hospitality Group, a luxury events and hospitality business in Jeddah, across all its restaurant websites.

SEO Services
Hotel SEO wins the searches a guest makes before choosing where to stay: the area, the occasion, the nearby venue, the airport. We build rooms, location, events and offers pages in English and Arabic, fix the technical issues booking engines create, and measure direct bookings from organic search.
Local SEO & Google Business Profile
A hotel's Google Business Profile carries the photos, amenities, reviews and booking links that guests compare side by side. We complete every hotel attribute, keep photos current, answer reviews in the guest's language and make sure your official booking link is the one Google shows.
Website Design & Development
A hotel website is a booking funnel with a lobby attached. We design fast, bilingual sites with a booking engine that tracks properly, rooms pages that answer real questions, and meetings and weddings pages that capture enquiries instead of sending people to a PDF.
Google Ads & PPC Management
Guests who search your hotel's name are the cheapest booking you'll ever win, and OTAs know it. We protect your brand terms with Google Ads, run Google hotel campaigns where they pay for themselves, and track every booking back to the click that started it.
Branding & Logo Design
Hotel branding starts with who the property is for: the business traveller on a two-night trip, the family on a long weekend, the couple planning a wedding. We build the positioning, name, bilingual identity and photography direction, then roll it through the website, signage, OTA listings and the confirmation email.
CRM Implementation & Automation
Weddings, conferences and group stays are sales pipelines, not booking forms. We set up a CRM with WhatsApp integration so events enquiries get an owner and a follow-up date, past guests get remembered, and returning-guest offers go out without anyone copying emails into a spreadsheet.
The detail
Who owns your guest: you or the OTA?
Too often, the OTA does. A guest hears about your hotel, searches your name, and clicks the first booking option, which is frequently an online travel agency bidding on your brand. Hotel marketing that pays for itself starts by winning back the guests who already chose you, before chasing new ones.
Picture a family in Riyadh planning a long weekend in Jeddah. They’ve seen your pool on a friend’s Instagram, so they search your hotel by name. Above your own site sit two OTA ads, and the Google hotel panel offers four ways to book. If your site is slow or your rate looks no better, they book elsewhere and the commission comes out of your margin.
We don’t advise leaving the OTAs. They reach travellers you couldn’t reach alone. The goal is narrower: when someone wants your hotel, they should book with you.
How does Google decide where a hotel booking goes?
Google’s hotel results show paid booking links marked “Ads” and free booking links listed under “All options” (how travellers find booking links). Your own rate can appear in both. Being absent from the free links, or showing a higher rate than an OTA, hands the booking to someone else.
Two details matter more than most hotels realise:
- The “Official site” badge. Google shows it for hotel owners, direct suppliers, central reservation systems and integration partners, and never for OTAs (Google’s Official site badge). If your booking engine isn’t connected, you lose that label.
- Your Google Business Profile. Amenities, photos, check-in times and reviews are compared side by side with every hotel on the map. Incomplete attributes look like missing facilities.
Most booking engines and channel managers can connect you to free booking links through an integration partner. It’s usually a settings change and an email, and it’s the first thing we check.
Hotel branding: what should a guest feel before they arrive?
Hotel branding is the promise a property makes before check-in: who it’s for, what a stay feels like, and why it’s worth booking direct. It shows up in the name, the identity, the photography, the tone of every message, and how consistently those appear across your website, OTA listings and Google profile.
Independent hotels have the freedom to build that from scratch. Branded properties work within group standards, which still leaves room in local content, events, food and beverage, and the voice of the property. Either way, the Arabic version needs to be written, not translated, and the logotype should work in both scripts.
The photos do more branding work than the logo. A guest scrolling OTA listings forms an opinion in seconds, and the property whose images feel like a place (morning light in the room, the view from the pool, a set ballroom) gets the click. Our brand identity and strategy service covers this end to end.
Hotel SEO beyond the homepage
Most hotel sites put everything on the homepage and a booking widget, which leaves nothing to rank for the searches guests make while deciding: the area, the nearby venue or hospital, the airport, the occasion. Hotel SEO builds those pages and connects each to a booking path.
The pages that earn direct bookings usually include:
- Rooms and suites, one page each, with size, beds, view and real photos.
- Location pages for the reasons people visit: the business district, the exhibition centre, the beach, the airport.
- Meetings, weddings and events, with capacities, layouts and an enquiry form.
- Arabic versions of all of the above, connected with hreflang. Our Arabic hreflang generator gets the tags right.
Events and weddings deserve particular care in the Gulf, where a property’s ballroom can matter as much as its rooms. We run SEO for Leylaty Hospitality Group, a luxury events and hospitality group in Jeddah, where those searches are the heart of the business.
Licences and rules that touch hotel marketing
Hospitality is a licensed activity everywhere in the Gulf, and your marketing has to match your licence. In Dubai, the Department of Economy and Tourism licenses and classifies hotels and issues holiday home permits. In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Tourism regulates and licenses tourism and hospitality facilities.
In practice that means three habits. Show the classification you actually hold, not the one the interior deserves. Keep the legal name on the website consistent with the licence and the Google profile. And keep the rate on your booking page identical to the rate you send to Google and the OTAs, because a mismatch is both a trust problem and a reason for Google to drop your link.
What a hotel website needs that most business sites don’t
A hotel site lives or dies by the handover to the booking engine. Most problems we find sit at that join: tracking that breaks when the guest moves to the engine’s domain, a rate calendar that’s slow on mobile, or a room type that exists on the site but not in the engine.
The fixes we make most often:
- Cross-domain tracking so GA4 can tell you which campaign, search or profile click produced each booking.
- A booking widget visible on every rooms page without scrolling.
- Compressed galleries so the room photos load quickly on mobile data.
- Fact sheets and wedding packages as pages, with the PDF as a download.
When we build or rebuild a hotel site, our website design and development team handles the booking-engine integration and tracking from day one. Hotel restaurants have their own playbook, covered on our page about luxury restaurant marketing.
Questions
What is hotel SEO?
Hotel SEO is the work that helps a property appear when travellers search for somewhere to stay, and that turns those visits into direct bookings. It covers the hotel's Google profile and booking links, rooms and location pages, Arabic and other language versions, technical fixes around the booking engine, and tracking bookings by source.
Can a hotel really reduce how much it depends on OTAs?
Yes, though rarely to zero, and you shouldn't try. OTAs bring guests you'd never reach alone. The realistic goal is to win the guests who already searched your hotel by name and booked through an OTA anyway. That's where better booking links, brand-term ads and a faster site pay off first.
Do hotels need to pay for Google Hotel Ads?
Not to appear. Google shows free booking links alongside paid ones, and your official link can appear there through your booking engine or channel manager's integration. Paid hotel campaigns help when competition on your dates is heavy; we test them against the free links before scaling.
What does hotel branding include?
Positioning and naming, a logo and identity system that works in Arabic and English, photography and tone of voice, signage and in-room print, and how all of it appears on your website, OTA listings and Google profile. For an existing hotel, it often means tightening what's already there rather than starting over.
Can you work within a hotel group's brand standards?
Yes. Branded and franchised hotels have standards for logos, booking engines and sometimes the website itself. We work inside them, focusing on what the property controls: local pages, events and weddings content, the Google profile, reviews and Arabic content.
Which booking engine should our hotel use?
One that connects to Google's free booking links through an integration partner, lets you track bookings in GA4, and works well on a phone. We don't resell booking engines. If you're happy with yours, we'll fix the tracking and the integration around it.
Do you work with serviced apartments and holiday homes?
Yes. The work is similar, with more emphasis on location pages, longer stays and direct repeat bookings. In Dubai, holiday homes need a permit from the Department of Economy and Tourism, and we make sure the website and listings show the property's details accurately.
