App Development in Fujairah
We build web apps, portals and mobile apps for Fujairah businesses. Typical projects are customer portals for marine and port service companies, field apps for crews working across the port, the anchorage and the coast, and booking systems for dive and boat operators. We design and develop from Dubai and run Fujairah projects remotely.

App Development in Fujairah
Software for jobs that start when a ship arrives
Port-linked work runs on short notice. A vessel’s agent sends a request, the job has to be quoted, scheduled, done and documented within a tight window, and the client wants updates throughout. In a lot of service companies, that whole flow runs on WhatsApp groups, email threads and a spreadsheet only one person fully understands.
The software we’d build for that isn’t a giant system. It’s usually a small set of tools that cover one workflow end to end: request in, job created, crew assigned, work recorded, documents out, invoice raised.
A customer portal for marine and port services
Clients of marine service companies ask the same questions repeatedly. Where’s the job? Has the delivery gone out? Can we have the report and photos? Where’s the invoice?
A customer portal answers those without a phone call:
- Live job status, updated by your team from the field.
- Documents in one place: delivery notes, inspection reports, certificates and photos.
- Invoice history with downloads for the client’s accounts team.
- Separate logins per client, so each ship manager or agent sees only their own vessels.
We’ve built SaaS products before, including SmartVin, a platform for junkyards in the United States where we did the product design, development and brand. The same approach (small scope, real users, then extend) works for a portal.
Field apps for crews across the coast
Fujairah crews work at the port, on launches at the anchorage, at storage terminals and at customer sites along the coast. Signal can be patchy and hands are often busy.
A field app for them needs to be quick to use with one hand, work offline and capture what proves the job was done: photos with timestamps, checklists, readings and the customer’s signature. When the device reconnects, it syncs to the office. We build these with React Native, so one codebase runs on both Android and iOS devices.
Connect the field app to the customer portal and something useful happens: the photo a technician takes on a launch at the anchorage appears in the client’s portal as soon as the phone finds a signal. Nobody in the office has to forward it, and the client stops asking.
Booking tools for dive and boat operators
East coast leisure operators juggle more variables than a typical booking plugin expects: boat capacity, equipment sizes, certification levels, pick-up points and sea conditions that can cancel a morning’s trips. A booking tool built around those rules saves staff time and stops double bookings.
The key features are usually capacity per trip, eligibility questions at checkout, deposits, waivers, and a cancellation flow that notifies everyone booked and offers new slots in one step.
How we build for Fujairah clients
We’re based in Dubai and run Fujairah builds remotely. Scoping uses video calls and screen recordings of your current process. We deliver in stages, each one usable before the next begins, and you test on your own devices throughout.
Apps usually sit alongside a website and a CRM. See CRM implementation in Fujairah for the sales side and web design for Fujairah businesses for the public face. Our how we build apps and web platforms explains the full method, and the Fujairah services page has everything else we do on the east coast.
Selected work
How we work
- 01
Discovery
Short working sessions to pin down users, the one workflow that matters most, the data involved and what can wait. You get a written scope at the end.
- 02
Clickable prototype
The key screens designed and linked so you can put them in front of real users before production code exists.
- 03
Build in short cycles
Working software on a test environment every two weeks, reviewed with you, so changes happen while they're still cheap.
- 04
Beta with real users
A small group uses the app on real work. We fix what they trip over and measure whether the core workflow gets done.
- 05
Launch and support
Store submissions or go-live, monitoring, and an agreed support arrangement for fixes, updates and the next features.
Questions
Can a customer portal really reduce calls for a Fujairah marine services company?
It can remove the routine ones. Clients asking 'has the delivery gone out?' or 'can you resend the report?' can check for themselves. Your operations team keeps the calls that actually need a person.
Our crews work at the anchorage with poor signal. Will a mobile app work there?
Yes, if it's built offline-first. The app stores checklists, photos and signatures on the device and syncs when a connection returns. We test that behaviour deliberately, not as an afterthought.
We run boat trips and dive sessions on the east coast. Is a custom booking system worth it over a plugin?
If you juggle boat capacity, equipment sizes, certification levels and weather cancellations, often yes. Generic plugins handle simple time slots well and the rest badly. We'd look at your current process before recommending either.
Who owns the app once it's built?
You do. Code, hosting and app store accounts are set up in your company's name, and we hand over documentation at the end.
Do you need to come to Fujairah to build the app?
No. We scope through video calls and recordings of how your team works, show progress in working previews, and you test on your own devices. We're based in Dubai.
