Jeddah, Saudi Arabia App Development

Mobile App Development in Jeddah

We build mobile apps, web apps and customer portals for Jeddah businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups and off-the-shelf tools. Typical projects are booking systems for event venues, portals for logistics and trading firms, and loyalty or ordering apps for restaurant groups. We work remotely from Dubai, in React Native and modern web stacks.

App Development in Jeddah

Do you need an app, a web app or a better website?

Often a web app. If the users are staff, partners or business customers, a portal that runs in the browser is quicker to build, skips app store review and updates instantly. A native mobile app earns its place when people will open it often on their phone, need notifications, or need the camera, location or offline access.

We’ll tell you which fits before we quote. Sometimes the honest answer is a better website.

Jeddah businesses that get the most from custom software

Logistics, freight and trading. Jeddah Islamic Port is the main sea gateway for western Saudi Arabia, and the firms around it move a mountain of paperwork: bills of lading, customs documents, delivery orders, quotes. A portal where customers can track and self-serve frees your team from answering the same WhatsApp questions every morning.

Events and hospitality. Venues, caterers and event companies juggle dates, halls, menus, staffing and deposits, often across several spreadsheets. A booking system that holds one version of the truth prevents double bookings and lost enquiries.

Restaurant groups. Groups with several Jeddah branches need loyalty, repeat ordering, table bookings and feedback in one place they own, rather than scattered across delivery platforms.

Visitor services. Transport, hotel and tour operators serving pilgrims and tourists need multilingual booking that works with a foreign phone number. Pilgrims handle permits through Nusuk, the official platform of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, so your app should cover the services around the trip, not duplicate that.

Saudi integrations we plan for

  • Payments: mada and Apple Pay as standard, Tabby and Tamara where instalments suit the product.
  • E-invoicing: sales data passed to accounting software integrated with ZATCA’s Fatoora platform.
  • Personal data: consent, retention and hosting decisions shaped by the PDPL, which SDAIA has enforced in full since September 2024.
  • Addresses: forms that accept the Saudi National Address format, short address code included, so deliveries find the right door.
  • WhatsApp: notifications and support through the WhatsApp Business Platform, where your customers already are.

How we’d scope a Jeddah app

We start with a discovery call and a short workshop with the people who’ll use the system day to day. Next comes a clickable prototype in Arabic and English, tested with real users. The build runs in short cycles, each ending in something you can open on your phone. Launch covers store submission under your accounts, analytics, and a support plan.

We’ve built SaaS products such as SmartVin, a platform for US junkyards, along with browser extensions and desktop apps, including our own Search Location Changer extension for Chrome.

Apps work best when the data behind them is clean, so many projects pair with a CRM set up for Jeddah teams. If customers find you through search first, start with a website build for Jeddah. We also take on app projects in Riyadh, and our app and portal development service covers the full process. For the city as a whole, see how we work with Jeddah businesses.

How we work

  1. 01

    Discovery

Short working sessions to pin down users, the one workflow that matters most, the data involved and what can wait. You get a written scope at the end.

  2. 02

    Clickable prototype

The key screens designed and linked so you can put them in front of real users before production code exists.

  3. 03

    Build in short cycles

Working software on a test environment every two weeks, reviewed with you, so changes happen while they're still cheap.

  4. 04

    Beta with real users

A small group uses the app on real work. We fix what they trip over and measure whether the core workflow gets done.

  5. 05

    Launch and support

Store submissions or go-live, monitoring, and an agreed support arrangement for fixes, updates and the next features.

Questions

Should my Jeddah restaurant build its own ordering app?

Only if you have enough regulars to use it. Plenty of Jeddah diners order through HungerStation, Jahez, Keeta and similar apps, and launching your own won't change that habit. A direct app earns its keep as a loyalty and repeat-order tool for a group with several branches, alongside the delivery apps rather than instead of them.

Can you build a customer portal for a freight forwarder or clearing agent in Jeddah?

Yes. A typical portal lets customers track shipments, upload documents, approve quotes and download invoices without calling your team. It connects to your existing systems where they offer APIs, and it works in Arabic and English.

Can you build a booking system for an event venue or wedding hall?

Yes. Venue booking usually needs availability across several halls, holds that expire, staged deposits, package options and one calendar shared by sales and operations. We build it around how your team already works, then connect it to your CRM.

Will the app work properly in Arabic?

Yes. We design Arabic and English together, with right-to-left layouts, Arabic fonts that stay legible on small screens, and correct handling of numbers, dates and Hijri calendar display where you need it. Users can switch language without losing their place.

Can the app issue ZATCA-compliant e-invoices?

The app hands each sale to invoicing or accounting software that's integrated with ZATCA's Fatoora platform, and that software issues the compliant e-invoice. We build the connection instead of reinventing a tax engine inside the app.

How long does app development take, and what drives the cost?

Scope drives both: the number of user types, screens, integrations and platforms. A focused first version often takes a few months. We scope after a discovery call and usually recommend a smaller first release, then building on how people actually use it.
