Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Local SEO

Local SEO in Riyadh

We help Riyadh businesses appear in Google Maps when customers nearby search for what they sell, in Arabic and in English. That means a Google Business Profile that matches your commercial registration and National Address, reviews that keep arriving, and rankings tracked district by district across the city. We handle it remotely from our Dubai base.

What's included

A profile built from your official records

Business name as it appears on your sign and commercial registration, an address that matches your Saudi Post National Address, and categories chosen against the businesses already ranking around you.

Arabic first, English where it earns its place

Arabic description, services and posts for the way most Riyadh customers search, with English for expat and corporate searchers around the Diplomatic Quarter and KAFD.

Rank tracking across Riyadh's districts

Geo-grid scans across the neighbourhoods you serve, so you can see that you hold the top three in Al Olaya but disappear in Hittin or Al Yasmin, and whether each fix moves that.

Reviews in the language customers write

WhatsApp review requests with a direct link, Arabic and English reply templates, and a routine for answering complaints before the next customer reads them.

Branch pages and LocalBusiness schema

A page for each branch or service area in Arabic and English, with structured data that matches the profile exactly.

Duplicate and spam listing cleanup

Old listings from previous locations or phone numbers merged or removed, and fake competitor listings documented and reported to Google.

Local SEO in Riyadh

What a Riyadh customer sees when they search nearby

It’s eight in the evening in Al Narjis. A mother searches عيادة أسنان قريبة on her phone. Google shows three clinics on the map, each with a star rating and a distance, and she calls the one with recent reviews that’s on her side of the Northern Ring Road. The clinic two kilometres further south, with a better website, never gets a look.

That’s local search in Riyadh. The city runs on cars, distances are long, and people pick from the businesses closest to them that look credible. Your Google Business Profile does most of the selling before anyone reaches your site.

Getting the basics to match your paperwork

Google cross-checks your profile against other sources. In Saudi Arabia, the official records give it plenty to compare:

  • Commercial registration. Your profile name should match the trade name your customers see, as registered through the Saudi Business Center.
  • National Address. The Saudi Post short address for your premises should match the address on your profile, website and directory listings.
  • Municipal licence. Shops and clinics also hold a licence for the premises through the Balady platform. If Google asks for proof during verification or a reinstatement, these documents are what you’ll send.

When these line up, verification is simpler and suspensions are rarer. When they don’t (an old branch address, a trade name that changed), problems follow.

Tracking rankings from Al Olaya to the northern districts

Checking your rank from your own office tells you almost nothing in a city this size. Al Olaya, Al Sulimaniyah, Al Malqa, Hittin, Al Yasmin and the Diplomatic Quarter are effectively separate local markets, and the ring roads split them further.

We scan a grid of points across the districts you serve, using the same approach as our free geo-grid Maps rank checker, and show you a heatmap of where you rank. When we change your primary category, add a branch page or run a review drive, you see which districts move.

Arabic reviews, and answering them

Most Riyadh customers write reviews in Arabic, and a profile full of English-only replies reads oddly to them. We set up a WhatsApp message with a direct review link, sent soon after a visit or job, plus a QR code at the counter. Our Google review link generator creates the link. Then we draft replies in the customer’s language, including the awkward ones.

Fresh reviews matter more than a big old total. A competitor who opened last year and collects reviews every week can overtake a business with a large pile of reviews from years ago.

Beyond the map

The map pack wins calls and visits. The organic results below it, and the AI answers above it, need different work. Our Arabic-first SEO in Riyadh covers the website side, and websites built for Saudi customers covers branch pages that convert. The method behind all of this is on our Google Business Profile and local SEO service page. Our Riyadh digital marketing hub lists everything else, and if you have branches on the Red Sea coast too, see local SEO in Jeddah.

How we work

  1. 01

    Baseline scan

A geo-grid scan for your money keywords, a profile audit, and a citation check, so we know where you rank today and why.

  2. 02

Fix the profile and the site

Categories, services, photos, hours, schema and location pages go first, because Google reads those changes fastest.

  3. 03

    Citations and reviews

Directory cleanup and a review request routine start in week one and run for the whole engagement.

  4. 04

    Re-scan and report

Every month we re-run the same grid and show what moved, what didn't, and what we're changing next.

Questions

How do I get my Riyadh business on Google Maps?

Create or claim a Google Business Profile, verify it, and fill it in completely: name as registered, accurate address, primary category, hours, services, photos and an Arabic description. Then keep it active with reviews and posts. Verification can take a few attempts if the address on Google's map pin doesn't match where you actually are.

What is the Saudi National Address and does it matter for local SEO?

It's the official address system run by Saudi Post (SPL), with a short code of four letters and four numbers. Businesses register free using their commercial registration. Using the same address on your profile, website and directories keeps your details consistent, and couriers rely on it for deliveries.

Why do I rank in Al Olaya but not in north Riyadh?

Google weighs how close a business is to the person searching. Riyadh is so spread out that a clinic on Olaya Street can be first for nearby searches and invisible to someone in Al Narjis. A geo-grid makes the drop-off visible. Branch pages and reviews from customers in those districts can widen your reach, but distance always counts.

Should my Google Business Profile be in Arabic or English?

Use the name your customers see on your signage and documents, matching your commercial registration. Write the description and services in Arabic first, since that's how most Riyadh customers search, and reply to reviews in the language they were written in. Never add keywords like a district name to your business name.

Can a Riyadh company without a shopfront have a profile?

Yes, if you serve customers at their location, as a home-services or maintenance company does. Set it up as a service-area business, hide the address, and list the districts you cover. A virtual office or a co-working address you don't staff breaks Google's guidelines and often leads to suspension.

How much does local SEO cost in Riyadh?

It depends on how many branches you have, how crowded your category is, and how much cleanup is needed. We start with a free geo-grid scan of your main search terms and scope the work from what it shows.
