What Security Headers Do (and Don't Do)
HTTPS is a confirmed, lightweight Google ranking signal; security headers such as X-Frame-Options and X-Content-Type-Options are not. They protect your visitors from attacks like clickjacking and MIME sniffing, which is reason enough to set them.
Clickjacking and XSS
X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN stops other sites loading your pages in an iframe. X-XSS-Protection is obsolete: modern browsers ignore it and OWASP recommends setting it to 0 (or leaving it out) and using a Content Security Policy instead.
